nice room with balcony in Dutch ancient house, next to old city center
Utrecht is located 30 km from Amsterdam but this city is a trip worth on it's own.
We (a German couple working in the Netherlands) live here with lots of joy and we're delighted to share this impressions with you.
Be aware that we have 3 cats living here, too.
We live in a typical Dutch house which makes your stay very charming. But this includes also the steep stairway which are common in old Dutch houses. We don't mind helping you with carrying your luggage to your room.
We speak English, German, Dutch and a little French.
In our home, there are two toilets available. The bed's size in the guest room is 1,40 by 2 m. The matras is comfortable (Nasa foam materiaal).
If you prefer, we can put an extra matress in the room for more sleeping space (still max. 2 persons).
Nearby in the area there are 3 supermarkets (600 m)
a bakery (300m)
a bus station with direction central station (365m)
the Grift parc, nice to chill in a cafe of have a picknick there (300m)
The old canal (Oudegracht) with lots of cafes, restaurants en shops begins about 700m. But you'll enjoy the green area from the singel (Weerdsingel, Maliebaan) and the cosy streets here.
See our cosy street by streetview:
If you come with the car, you can use the Grifthoek garage (250 m). Link for more information:
At sunday it's free parking in our area.
House rulesWe love our home and hope that you'll also treat it with respect and care. We have 3 cats what makes it here very cosy. But you have to know, in case that you have an allergy. The cats stay indoor. Your task during the stay is to keep an eye on the door when leaving/arriving at the house, so that the cats stay indoor.
Breakfast not included. You can use the kitchen, if you like.
