I enjoyed my stay a lot. The house is in good shape, in a nice area and Nils is super friendly. Next time I need a place in Stockholm I am surely going to stay with him again! thank you!
Nice house!! Great host!!! Everything is perfect!!!! Feels like home!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!
This vacation home is excellent and we recommend it highly - the room was cozy and felt almost like home. The room is not very big but perfect as basis for ‚adventures’ in Stockholm. We were able to use all common rooms like the kitchen and a living room. You might even cook your own dishes though you should coordinate that with the other people living there. The breakfirst was rich, almost on a basis like „what do you want…“
It was very quiet as the house borders to a nature preservation area. Though you sometimes can hear airplanes at a distance. Everything was neat and clean. But it should be clear - you are not alone! While we were there another German couple and a German student had been there. We liked that very much (not because they were German…) and this doesn’t differ from other experiences at other private host’s homes.
Our host, Nils, was extremely helpful in every regard and helped us e. g. to get a number of addresses of vegetarian restaurants with rich buffets and addresses for location with spectacular views (if the weather plays along).
Nils even wanted to fulfill on his promise to cook an elk meal. But that didn’t fit into our own schedule.
We were there in December while snow was around. So we were able to do a walk through the preservation area with snow on the ground. It was great. Of course, we didn’t use the nearby lake for swimming… ;-)
Finally - we can agree on everything Nils wrote in his description.
Thank you Nils for being a great host!
Very friendly welcome, German languages, rooms at Ökohaus very large, well maintained and comfortable, as well kitchen and self catering option. Nice communication with roommates, breakfast ingredients individually and plentiful. Environment is very nice for walking, access to public transport making.
A nice, bright and clean room with a beautiful view. The house is quiet and relaxing, we felt like at home here. A great breakfast and we could use the kitchen when we wanted. The house is surrounded by nature and Stockholm city is so close. A kind and helpful host. We can´t imagine a better place to stay in.
The previous review is STRANGE – our experience is the opposite.
This is a lovely B&B. It´s a charming and modern house, in a very clean condition. It is cozy and with a pleasant atmosphere. Calm and quiet. There is a full and delicious Swedish breakfast that had all we could possibly need. There is one nice student in the house we saw on one occasion. And Nils is a generous host always ready to help when we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay here!
Nice surrounding but shabby, old and very dirty house. We had to clean first the badroom....:-(, somebody repaired the roof early in the morning, cheap breakfast and students occupy the kitchen without paying any notice to some breakfastprivacy.
Stockholm is worth to go but not to Nils his place.
The room was small but very clean with a fantastic view. Weather it was to have breakfast on the terrace so we could super start to the day. Stockholm itself was only 5 minutes travel + 11 min subway ride away, and with a 7 day ticket for about 35 € per person. quite inexpensive!
The house is situated in a residential area next to a large wooded area with lake and was able to convince with its location very much.
For breakfast there was everything what we asked Emil (son of Nils) and thus also all very good!
Unfortunately we could not get to know Nile, he was prevented by an accident with the car. Too bad it would have been very pleased!
All in all a very relaxing week!
The accommodation, the room, the atmosphere, the breakfast, everything was really great! Nils is such a great host, we felt right at home. He answered all questions about Stockholm, environment, nature area, ... The special feature of the hotel is its proximity to the city center as well as to the peaceful nature reserve, the perfect mix to what constitutes Sweden know,!
We stayed 4 nights at Nils' house and it was wonderful. The house is big, the room really nice and comfortable. You have a bathroom and a second toilet, you can use the kitchen, the living room, with computer and the terass with nice garden.
The house is easily to find and to reach by public transport. You just need 15 minutes with the metro to the city.
Right behind Nils' house there is a national park with a wonderful forest and several lakes. It's so beautiful and you can go ther walking or ride the bike. Nils' has 4 bikes for his guests!
Nils's and his son Emil, are very friendly and they really helped us and gave us many tips what to do and where do go.
It's much better than staying in a hotel, and you also get some towels and breakfast!!
If I come to Stockholm again, I'll definetly stay at Nils' again.
